Walking Home, In Winter.

The pavements are frosted
Be careful how you step!
I am dainty and cautious
Whilst you slide across the ice.
A cute but honourable fool.
I have the privilege to know this wonderful boy
Developing smoothly into a charming and protective man.
We have persisted, all summer
To achieve this bond
Our budding relationship
That can withstand the cold, harsh winter winds.
I link my arm around yours
tightly for support and comfort
feeling snug and full of hope.
I can't ever imagine wanting anything
more than this for one moment.
The pavements are frosted
Be careful how you step!
It will be warm again soon, I will be with you
Every step of the way
We can stop eachother from falling
To an abrupt descent on the ice.
The ice will melt soon enough and
As these times make us stronger
Our bond gives us strength
To pull each other up from the ground
When we do slip and tumble.
