And from it all came a poem
And from it all came a song
And from her lips came a word
And from his heart came a groan
And after all was said and done
And in the glow of the evening sun
They looked around at everyone
And everyone had gone.
And from it all came a poem
And from it all came a song
It made no sense to any one
'Cept the stranger all alone
And from his eyes came a promise
And from his hand came a threat
And no one here knows or cares
What's then or was or yet.
And from his pen came a poem
And from his pen came a song
And from his pen came a white cold rage
That ruins on and on.
