She looks up from her hands and wipes the tears from her
eyes
Her bags are packed for leaving; no need for goodbyes
As she moves through the door she looks back one last time
At the memories she walks from; leaving it all behind
As she walks on down the street the sun begins to shine
All those dark clouds that loomed low overhead, start to
rise
One chapter of life has ended, and another has begun
The possibilities are endless, when you’re the only one,
Who can lift up from the darkness
Pick yourself up with a smile
Don’t let this cold life drag you down
Pick up your bags and carry, carry, carry on.

His thoughts are driving him wild, with a whiskey bottle in
his hands

What more could he have done? Why couldn’t he make her stay?
He sits down his drink and starts to pack an old suitcase
there are too many haunting memories that live in this place
In his drunken stupor he had forgotten to keep his faith
A ghost of a man now trying to believe he was a chance to
run away
And lift up from the darkness
Pick up yourself with a smile
Don’t let this cold life beat you down
Pick up your bags and carry, carry, carry on.
