I have resolved to try to get into an MBA program in Oregon. The
advantages of this are that the state would support me, with some
student loans, while I got the degree. This would give me two more
years to perfect my life and social skills as well as to develop
intellectually. The road has some obstacles on it but I believe it is
passable. It's getting semi-late to apply for programs, I'm sure,
though we're not near the deadlines. The GMAT is half math but it is
math skills rather than specific knowledge, which gives me a better
crack at it. Also, U of O requires two years of job experience. I
probably don't technically have that though I did work for the city
newspaper as a freelance writer for two years. But I don't think it's
an absolute requirement and I'll just list myself as working for the
paper. The people at the paper like me and will help out. You see, I'm
caught in a trap and I have the feeling that honesty is the best
policy. Ooh, but honesty has gotten me screwed over so many times. But
honesty it is; that's what I'll do. As Bugsy Seagull says, "Everybody
deserves a fresh start now and then." Well, I'm taking mine.
