On 'the Conquest of Poverty'

Unimproved, Planet Earth kept the Native Americans nourished and richly clothed even the lilies of the field. Now with centuries of industrialized production, modern agriculture, and wealth accumulation at our backs, how is it that we have not even seriously attempted what JFK called 'the conquest of poverty?!' With the increasing high-tech productivity of robotics, A.I., and bioengineering among many other advanced sciences, the yawning chasms of social and economic class become harder to justify

Very well thought out
Very well thought out seannelson and I wish we had the answer to why- why so many have to live under or at the poverty level. I fear Kindness must be mined like gold these days for it has become too rare and Greed appears to be the commodity of choice.

a true prophecy
Jesus said He was with us for only a little while but the poor will always be with us. Looks like it, after two thousand years still.
