Statement: Change and Desperation

Those of us seeking to substantively make this world a better place find ourselves perpetually caught in the wreckage of the old. For example, decades of highly misguided Russia policy left that nation burning with desire to break through the iced out relations- and willing and capable of doing so in a non-violent yet undesirable manner. So then we have this all consuming political scandal that prohibits dealing with the root of the actual problem: the failed and dangerous policy of 'Russian containment.'
Then, on another front, if one embraces the message of Pope Francis for fraternity and charity, one makes an enemy of the coalition of scientists... who persecute ruthlessly. It's very hard to know who to work with- and what to turn to.
There are too many people enforcing iron status quos without truly considering whether they're correct and... whether they're morally acceptable. Does that matter? It should but in too many of these quagmires, it doesn't seem to.
Addendum: In my view, I've been illegally persecuted to the state between life and death... yet still bearing vital new ideas. I'm not like these old politicians, so many of whom are party to the persecution... Living on the verge of death, if my ideas are to have a reality in this world, it was necessary to build relationships with those in power. I did... and am proud of results like the new executive order in favor of religious liberty etc..
I didn't have the safe-guarded body and fat funds to wait around and be a political opposition figure... and I still don't. I gave all I had in 2016, body brain and soul... striving to elect a government that would respect and care for the sick and the poor, the children and the Earth.
Many wouldn't accept this message and, now, in the middle of the governing season are changing their mind again... back to a sharp and immoral economy, illegitimately clothed in the costume of Christian teaching. The actual Christ forcefully taught his disciples to forsake all earthly wealth save their staff and their sandals... and warned that to turn the poor away from their door was to turn away Christ himself.
I can personally only partly accept this teaching and faith... It's wondrous and unfortunate how many cheap and prosperous souls, in the private and political sectors, boast that they are good Christians, without seriously considering Christ's charitable and egalitarian message
