are much stronger
than chains of steel,
and soft, oft-repeated lies
break rebellions
better than the wheel
science and reason, yes,
are all well and good
but they're easily mistook
for the interests of the devils
who often write the book

this is true in all areas of life and propagated through every medium not only books.
It is the weakening of the stranglehold of the propaganda of the ‘elite’ by the newer, and as yet lesser censored, media that is starting to test and challenge the strength of the chains of yesterday's deceits.
