On a bench
Two seagulls fly past.
A couple hand in hand
Wander by.
Two dolphins in the sea.
Every being partnered
But me

In the mountains
On a rock
Two butterflies fly by.
Two deer elegantly
Skitter past.
Two lizards sunbathing.
Pairs all around
Except for me.

On the grass
Two ladybirds at my toes.
Two birds overhead.
Doubles everywhere
Just not me,
Loving and loved by
