I read me in them

 

Lines, pages, books

written over

seconds, hours, days,

decades, centuries.

Topics of love,

fear, faith, loss.

Words jumbled

re-arranged

tangled, framed.

One, dozens, hundreds

of writers

across time and space...

 

And my emotions,

my experiences,

are the same,

but I feel the distance

so great

it spans time and space...

I like the idea of how the reader can put themselves into their reading, be part of it, and at the same time there's something that always remains elusive.
