Melting into Christmas Carols

It’s blissfulness I’ve found,

something I can’t describe.

Like roses with exotic perfume

unveiling their aromas tide by tide,

forcing me to voluntarily smile,

and feel loved inside.

It’s the joy of carols,

the swinging beat,

the decades of His Story

in glorious hymns complete;

like my soul was singing them

before they found my tapping feet.

A peace around me,

A hope echoing within,

Singing the youthful energy,

clearing two thousand years of sin;

in faith that peace and love

are our destination.

It’s a Merry Christmas,

with the core of my being at ease,

when the joy of the music

is something for my heart’s appease.

All really is calm…

in this heavenly peace.

There’s contentment in each carol,

A knowing all will be well.

Energy and hope to keep me going,

As an essence of jubilance swells,

and melts inside of me,

with blessed assurance of the victory bells.

Be near me Lord Jesus,

I ask You to stay

Close by me forever,

Settled in my heart today,

May you never depart,

It is this I thankfully pray.
