A vignette of resilience
She left home
She went it alone
Around the world
All on her own
Things fell apart
Separated from the start
Yet she held onto hope
Clinging to a faith filled past
Her health failed
Her strength waned
Challenges hit her
Her soul drained
She kept on going
Following her knowing
Resiliently hanging on
Her faith growing
Months into years
Life drenched in fears
Moments without understanding
Times full of tears
When money was there
Enough to help repair
She booked herself home
To face each knowing stare
In the new challenge:
To begin again.

Really good Shannan. I liked
Really good Shannan. I liked the way it flowed, full of rythm and rhyme.
