To the You in the Queue
-
It was purely by chance
That I landed up in that queue;
Because the machine wasn’t working,
I ended up in front of you.
-
You stood and chatted to me,
Like we were old friends;
And I responded so easily,
Happily, without defense.
-
When I raised my eyes,
Yours were looking into mine,
A piercingly soft icy blue,
Tagged with mirth-lines on the side.
-
You wore a hat of green,
And a look that seemed so keen;
Chatting with ease felt so good,
Whilst we stood in that queue.
-
I love that you made me smile,
It felt wrong when my turn was up;
Lord, please may I see those eyes again,
Just so I can ask their name…
-
Then the voice in my head says:
“He would have if he was…
Stop making up stories!”

Hi Shannan
Hi Shannan
I wanted you to keep making up stories - because this was a good beginning to one, and with enough detail for the reader to want to know what happened next. Is it based on real life?

Hi Shannan. Find out where he
Hi Shannan. Find out where he lives and stalk him! Joking.... Sometimes we meet people and they have an effect on us. One day you'll have that effect on someone... Trust me. It happens.
