Blaze...

Amidst the foggy darkness, a small flickering light burns through a pile of decayed branches. Inch by inch, it consumes the fuel as it turns the lifeless boughs and sparse logs into mere black ashes. It grows unfalteringly and illuminates the aphotic ghostly forest and concurringly envelops the atmosphere in smoke. Just as all the wood became crisp chunks of coal, the blaze gradually diminishes into red ember, and soon it evanesces into the pitch-black night.
