I'm glad I had a warning of your leaving. No one is ever ready
exactly, but a notice gives one a chance to take in the thought--a
chance to grasp some steadying device, to get bearings. One adapts.
Some sooner than others, although eventually, almost all do. But we
also need to know precisely what it is we must adapt to, to have a
clear picture--then the process can begin. The mind has comprehended.
Again, I'm glad I had a warning of your leaving. We panic without one.
Are caught off guard. Our reflexes get confused. We can't think
straight for a while and end up making some wrong choices. To pay for
later. I'm glad I had a warning of your leaving. Then you left. Just
like that. And a chapter ended. Maybe some battles ended, too. But you
know that better than I. Thanks for the chapter anyway.
