My alter ego is a big quiet guy--as was Gary Cooper. Yeah, the looks
are important, too. But when he speaks(Cooper didn't) people listen, so
his voice is clear and precise much like Gregory Peck's or Cary
Grant's. (Who in the world could dislike Peck?) The guy's not only
tall, he's gentle and caring much like Leslie Howard is as Ashley
Wilkes. Then he's all capable physically like Mel Gibson as William
Wallace or Van Damm in any of his flicks but I don't know the
characters' names. (This reveals I'm not a die-hard fan!) What
else--how else is my alter ego? He's very cultured and correct--a
ladies' man? Let's see, David Niven? George Sanders? The great Olivier?
He can play a piano a la "Intermezzo," pilot a plane a la John Wayne
in "The High and the Mighty," knows when to quit, when to come in out
of the rain. He has lots of friends or as many as he wants, rather,
though not enough time for them all. Understandably. That's because
he's always learning new things and practicing them. He doesn't want to
stay only pilot and piano player forever. Or should he? Where's the
woman in all this? Not to worry. There is no woman but many, many women
for this alter ego, Bondish guy. Marilyn would do well, for starters.
The legendary face and body. She...I wonder which she was--giver or
taker?
