That last stanza seems to picture the struggle in a tempestuous temper and relationship, where the calm 'eye of the storm' is so appreciated, and sought after. Rhiannon

This poem from start to finish is so beatifully done. The reader can feel the grass and see the sky and appreciate the feelings of the poet. I always wonder whether animials who mate for life have any side issues in the meantime - based on being attracated to another of the species, or just getting tired of the same old life. Probably not, or somebody would have noted it.
