Lost
in the crowd
she wandered
watching
the thin white line
of a gull migrate
to the other side
of tomorrow
the sun, set –
an orange orb
in a peach-melba sky.
Her dress –
ravaged by the wind,
wrapped around
her legs;
eyes,
the colour
of blue petrels
riding the waves,
drew mine...
Lost in the crowd
I found her –
a one-off poem
in a book of days
serendipity
wrote down.

Lovely word-picture, SSS. I particularly liked the line about eyes the colour of blue petrels.

Hi, SSS, Everything is OK . I hung up my 'pen' a while ago, but last night I just had an urge to write something for Xmas so did a poem which I have put on here. Glad to see you are in fine form still and continuing to write! Happy Xmas by the way!
