Is when a shaft of light
from a late sunset
captures the blue
in those grey eyes of yours...
when I notice how soft
your hair’s become. White,
like swansdown;
a far cry from the blonde,
tousled, spiky mop I used to liken
to a loo-brush.
Is when you bend
to kiss my breast, and your scent
heightens my senses...
like the time we climbed up
to Reekie Linn, and the River Isla
cascading down the mountain
took our breath away
as of now, when my fingers explore
all those places I’ve been to
before, yet exciting
in their pleasant familiarity.
As masculine largesse
envelops feminine petiteness
and your undulation
moves to the sway of me
this, here, now is when
our oneness overwhelms me
and the only thing remains,
is the love we made.

Lovely, Tina. Saw parts of me one here. The white-haired me. Really enjoyed.

So much overwhelming love in this poem...it took my breath away as I read.
Some wonderful descriptions in this poem Tina...that I can't pick out a favourite, the poem as a whole is brilliant.
Jenny.
