I'm always amazed at the
I'm always amazed at the juxtapositions you manage of such different memories – eg 'fern fronds we watched unfurl – the bread we baked' And the last two lines are really lovely.
I can't make out what you are meaning in your fourth verse, 'as is offered up a prayer to some or other god somewhere we pretend we believe in.' D'you want to enlighten me?
There is a lot to possibly help others in the way you introduce the world of 'letting go', and a life of memories.
