Pink parrots, lemon roses, green leaves on the wall
Bedspread sprinkled with lavender – my side only
Peacock feathers in a vase, Jelly-Cat on the window-sill
No holds barred...an understanding, a kind of a calm
Musical box full of sea-shells, and ‘if onlys’...
Ivory bible – ribbon threaded through – pressed petals inside
Sleeping – nestling my head in the crook of his arm, his skin
smelling of log fires – our Zoe’s talc, and all the colours
of an evening’s slow sky...keeping me there, arresting
as a child in a red coat, in a black-and-white photo

'Musical box full of sea-shells, and ‘if onlys’...' I loved that. And the red coat in a black and white photo. Wistful poem with lovely images.

Goodness Tina...this is crammed full of some wonderful descriptions. I could visualize all those delightful keep sakes within your poem.
A charmed read for sure.
Jenny.
