The strands all coming
The strands all coming together and it is still well controlled - the reader feels confident that you have command of the plot! (Not always the case with thrillers). Marc has a real depth of character - I like the way you present the loving father and the quite brutal operative together. I found the scene in the bar disturbing, because Marc is such a sympathetic character, but of course in his line of work he would have to be be brutal.

I know exaclty what you mean - I've been struggling with a similar problem in one of my own pieces, and only when I finished it did I realise that yes, the ghost of Poirot was nodding affably at me from the page. Still, that's what rewrites are for...
