The clock past midnight, the night is dark.
i stir, a restless bird alone.
the feathered rest awaits,
but the rest it never comes.
a recluse within the memories
of the life that never was.
I dream within a dream
of all that i have lost.
no recompense for insolence
and all that i have done.
relinquishing my happiness,
before it had begun.
no solice in my solitude,
and no armistice with my mind,
i dream of dreams that never were,
of a peace ill never find.
no respite for the damaged, no respite for this soul,
In the lonely night I wander,
the sleepless walk alone.

You need to pay more attention to punctuation and bear in mind Archie's wise words - but apart from that this is a striking first post, keep 'em coming!
