Alice

Alice is not running
down rabbit holes;
she's not through
the looking glass...
for I swam in a
lake of slumbers,
her face reflected
in rippled visions,
she showed herself;
waved outside my
kitchen window,
with a garland
around her head,
angel wings in
dreams took flight
she waved at me
but then;
in the blink
of an eye
the scene
eclipsed...
she's lost as
waking hour came.
I wish I could sink
into that dream again.

Hi again Jenny
Hi again Jenny
Sometimes dreams feel so real that you feel lost when you wake and realise they aren't going to be continuing.

Hi Jenny,
Hi Jenny,
What a lovely dream. Most of mine are nightmares, I am always losing luggage or finding it impossible to climb stairs because they disappear and leave gaping chasms.

Hi Jenny,
Hi Jenny,
I think we all get quite an assortment of dreams. One of the most lovely dreams I had was where someone grabbed my arm and we flew off to heaven, I think it was Hermes the winged messenger. Anyway heaven was Graeco-Roman and full of beautiful people. I came back in an airship. I think those other dreams I have especially losing luggage are to do with insecurity feelings. I don't recover the luggage by the way, there is always a lot of it missing!

Beautiful
A lovely poem, and all the comments too. I once heard a neurosurgeon on the radio claiming that dreaming was just the cinima of the mind and without any significance. However psycologists do attach much meaning to dreams and their content.
And I agree, it is very unpleasant sometimes to say goodbye to a dream. Especially rudely, like by an alarm clock! Late for work!
All the best & Nolan
