Enchanted One

Wisteria entwines its way...
delicate flowers draped from
fragile stems, intent on delight,
captivating all of my desires...

I watch from my window...
as the breeze weaves its magic
on the inconspicuous atmosphere,
floating on an unseen puff of air...
like wave upon wave sweeping
the rise and fall of the Ocean...

Enchanted One...her song so sweetly
drifts through my welcome open door,
playfully whimsical as a gentle kiss...
spellbinding...entrancing...gently
guiding me in her trance like dance,

then through my open window...
the Sun sparkles...glistening through
the Summer trees...a garden of wonder,

with gossamer wings she flies,
carrying with her strands, of
rainbow...glowing...luminous
magic...scattering enchantment,
whispering in my dream like state,

anything is within my realms of belief...
if only my mythical companion lingers close.

new skinner_jennifer Lovely inspiring angelic poem. I felt I might be there wafting around in the breeze. Images and enchantments that are all interwoven glorious! 'Wisteria' we once saw on a holiday" Now it grows right near us,hanging down in lilac flowering droplets, the hanging boughs, draw me in to stop! and photo! All you have captured to the eye's, in your beautiful poem. Still miss the big two pictures bought from fet'e stall,gave to charity, enormous wings,guarding children. To be for our room then hanging! I was always a glutton! for happy endings and romance, as a child! Write more! I also love 'Pan Pipe music' very melodiuosly soothing sometimes. Hope your well. May like to read 'Fairy Dainty' I was very new then but I did think! myself quite good then. You can report on your expert advice. I want to come back as an 'Angel' or a mermaid. Hi julie, lovely to hear from you, I'm so pleased you enjoyed this poem, I like you love Wisteria, it has a beauty beyond compare. We have some along a trellis, at the bottom of our garden, but it's only five years old and is yet to flower, but it mingles with the honeysuckle, so one day the two will become one. I too love the panpipes, they are so melodic and charming to listen to as you say. I most certainly will look up your titled 'Fairy Dainty,' and get back to you.
