Equilibrium Of Brushstrokes

An artist paints in
visions...to some eyes
fleeting like leaves on
a breeze,
art work also portrays flesh
out of positive energy,
compelled by
stylish originality,
a creative force this
unexplored charisma,
where intense movement
so vibrant sets ingenuity,
encouraged by
piquant satisfaction;
enthusiasm drifting
through imagination,
depicting ruddiness
those blushing cheeks
posing eagerly;
discovering flirtation,
inclined to splash intrigue
maybe a little too much,
but mischief has meaning
when stumbling on pleasure,
those twinkling eyes gesture
with dimpled confident smile,
put at ease by skilled qualities;
anticipating each brushstroke a work of art.

I don't know much
I don't know much about art but I know skill when I see it. And beauty.
Excellent work! && Nolan

I'm sorry to hear you're not
I'm sorry to hear you're not painting at the moment. There is something wonderful about watching a painting take shape. My dad used to paint, and watching him bringing things to life with the brush used to fascinate me. A lovely poem, Jenny.

Feedback/thoughts
Thanks for sharing Jennifer. I'm not a poet or an English grad so I can't comment on mechanical/technical stuff in poetry, but I liked this a lot.
Breaking down a simple action into poetry is really effective. Reminds me of some Diane Cluck lyrics; she says she writes lyrics by just "telling the truth" and it always results in beauty. look her up, I think you'd like her songs' writing.
Anyway I had a great time with this. I'm hoping to read more poetry/learn more about it so I can leave more helpful feedback for people who write it!

That the second time I've
That the second time I've seen the word "piquant" used on this site recently. A wonderful word that seems to lend itself to writing.
