Fountain Of Dreams

I want to go
to those places
where old friends
flirt with my dreams,
their faces
emanate from
a fountain of
past memories,
each varying globule
bursting – overflowing
with chance meetings,
places I've never been before,
night scenes flicker
like sunlight through
slightly parted curtains
creating new worlds,
I am the traveler;
not a drifter, I'm
submerged in my
own acting role.

Hi Jenny
Hi Jenny
I like the idea of "flirting with my dreams". This is a lovely poem.

Stunning!
Yet again, another absolutely phenomenal piece, short yet certainly more than sweet! The gorgeous imagery really captures the reader and administers a sense of walking back through memories and moments, the title alone creates a beautifully philosophical and contemplative aura. The overall atmosphere is beautifully pensive and reflective. A truly remarkable piece!

It took me a little while to get into your thoughts here, Jenny. I think I thought you were remembering places and people, but now it seems like mixing memories of people you'd love to meet again, with creating new places for dream travelling with new meetings. I liked 'night scenes flicker like sunlight through slightly parted curtains creating new worlds'.

Lovely poem Jenny. Our
Lovely poem Jenny. Our Spiritual dreams where we meet our loved ones / friends. Slightly parted curtains, a gap between this world and the Spirit-World. I do it all the time. Beautifully written. I love poems like this. Thank you. Geraldine
