In the land where Cinderella had grown up and lived with her ugly sisters and Step Mother, she had found happiness with the help of her dutiful Fairy God Mother. Since she had met her Prince, he being so captivated by her beauty had taken her hand in marriage, they now lived a happy and for-filling life together.
For with her artistic talents that she'd not discovered until now, the Princess Cinderella came up with an idea, she'd become so taken with her glass slippers, that she persuaded the Prince to let her design her own. After consorting with him, he agreed and called for all the glass makers in the land to come forward. The Prince also ordered crystal from around the world to be delivered to the palace. Crystal came in abundance, glistening jewels of many different colors, huge lumps of gems all ready to be worked and turned into the slippers of the Princess's choice.
Cinderella had hours of fun drawing designs, taking footwear to a new dimension, so much so that the Prince organized a fashion show to be held at the palace in honor of his wife's creations. Young women and older Ladies and Gentlemen came in their droves to find out what all the fuss was about. Special invitations were sent out to professional dancers, to come and entertain wearing the well crafted glass slippers.
The best vino from the Prince's wine cellar was served by well dressed waiters and waitresses. Everyone spoke of the stylish shoes that were in vogue and were so a la mode. Plump overweight women in long gowns with bulging bosoms sat sipping wine, while their rich husbands with pot belly's pondered on parting with cash, their daughters looking on in wonder, begging their fathers for a pair of their own.
Newspaper reporters hoped to nit pick and be critical, not believing that shoes of glass could be comfortable and wondering what all the fuss was about, ready to write some caption with a gripe. But they found the shoes to be flawless and without fault. Of course the Fairy God Mother had her part in the creation, by waving her wand over each pair, making them so comfortable women would be able to dance all night long.
There was a feast in her honor, for Cinderella had accomplished her goals. The Prince was proud of his wife's enterprise, as the festivities went on through the night, the palace festooned with garlands of flowers, while a violinist played waltz after waltz and women out danced the men.
Cinderella was a hit, speaking to the press about her campaign to request the people that could afford her glass slippers, bring along an old pair of their own shoes and part with them, so they could be delivered to all the poor people in the land, for nobody in Cinderella's eyes should go without decent footwear.

Oh, this is wonderful, Jenny.
Oh, this is wonderful, Jenny...I often wondered what happened to Cinderalla after she married her Prince Charming, and now I know.
You always did love your Crystal, didn't you, Jenny...crystal ships, crystal shoes...and what else, one wonders?
Seriously though, Jenny...a lovely piece of writing, with marvellous descriptions which come alive as we read, right before our eyes.
Much enjoyed.
