Just We Two

Walk along the Ridge Way
by Fox Hill.
Peeping Sun
was faint
above
clouds,
as birds
chirped
on the
breeze,
hearing
them sing,
I'm sure
I captured
a whisper
of joyous
times
ahead,
then...
as burning
planet slowly
disappeared
we gazed
out on
the
view,
those fields
of rapeseed,
barley
too...
alone
two figure,
just me
and you.

We stopped there once to
We stopped there once to break a long journey with a walk. Nice feeling of space around you up there too isn't there, with far veiws? Your poem gives a sense of being up and away with just each other's company, and time at a standstill, alone in a lovely world. Your hip must be doing well. Rhiannon

Places for fishing must be
Places for fishing must be very peaceful – places to sit and think, or just sit! The only place I've seen a kingfisher close to was at Slimbridge wildfowl centre, and it was just perched across a little canal, and a crowd watching it. Often I think my husband has said something like - did you see that flash of blue cross the river, but I hadn't! So glad your hip is taking you out well. Rhiannon
