2nd September 2020 Full Corn Moon.

 

1st October 2020 Harvest Moon.

 

31st Ocober 2020 Hunters Moon/ Blue Moon.

 

 

Silver lady's grown grain

wears her harvest gown,

preparing hunt by full moon

celebrating reaping of corn,

 

those delicate rays impress

by beaming aura of light,

Seven sisters so faraway

not able to partake,

distance too impractical

remoteness quintessential

in hushed expanse of night.

 

There's a promise from shooting stars

coming lunar's way, showering destiny,

each carefully measured thread transient

between passers by, shooting across

blanket swift this clear night's calm sky.

Hi Trevor,

where would we be without the moon? I bet your navigation days have stayed with you to this day. It must be fascinating because you'll never get lost at night as long as the moon and stars are in the right position.

Hi Rachel,

one of the most precious gifts for me is the moon, she's not only my birth sign planet, but also I identify so much of my mood changes with lunar. 

I'm so pleased you enjoyed this poem and the cherries were a wonderful unexpected surprise.
