Stone Boats
There are days of honey and bitter wines
Built on bones of seconds vines
Timeless spill of moments like buffalo jumps
The crash of lemmings heard, till the last heart pumps
Climbing ladders to skies with top rungs amiss
Turn it over until heavens earth is kissed
Take giant step up and journeys begin
Each rung in hand, pull once more and again
Till halfway up and look to the sides
To clouds and trees, soar in childish ride
Climb higher the Jacob, shaking Artemis leaf to define
The jarred words of honey, and bitter wines.
Far in the distance is a sail in the mist
Moving slow the hold, its cargo the dreamers list
Of fables unwritten, of walled castles in eyes mote
Cast the cynic to sea, Let them dream of stone boats.
