Think too much

To the point

Of being out of touch

Some thinkers

Are well read

Reading tomes

at night in bed

Some thinkers

Stroke their chin

Hoping eureka

Will let them in

Young thinkers

Want to be adored

Their sprouting wisdom

Leaves masters bored

Old thinkers

Breathe a heavy sigh

The only become famous

When they die

Who knows what’s right or wrong

Life it seems is a reading list

Full of dead language

And a god that doesn’t exist
