hangovers are:

bad for getting shit done.
complicated.
a pain.
a good excuse.
bacon.
not a good time to think about what you probably shouldnt have done.
a time when you cant stop thinking about things you probably shouldnt have done.
always David Attenborough days.
a useful public service.
a tradition.
better with more drugs.
worse with more drugs the night before.
wonderful.
more fun with friends.
easily abated when you can just lie on the grass in the sunshine.
unsettling when they arrive late in the day when you should actually be feeling normal.
bacon.
terrible if you have no food in the house.

they are enjoyable in some kind of masochistic way. The same way a nice big ruin symbolises a once great civilisation, a hangover generally means the night was fun. Or tragic. And that is definitely a fair comparison. :P
