Rayna had difficulties sleeping.
She was very worried that Mr. Antonov would not be impressed with her essay.
It was the hardest thing that Rayna had ever done in her entire life, and she hoped that he could see how much work she put into it.
She was up with the sun, and as much as she told herself that she wouldn't let the professor get to her,
she spent hours on her appearance, which was something she never did.
She had mixed feelings on his leaving.
She felt that things would not be normal until he was gone.,
yet at the same time, this was the happiest she had been in many years.
No one was awake yet.
She was walking past Maya's room towards the bathroom when she heard sounds coming from there.
She slowly opened the door, and Maya was in a deep sleep, and dreaming aloud.
Rayna couldn't make out everything that she was saying, only bits and pieces.
"I can't do this alone."
Was the only complete sentence that she understood.
This made her even more curious as to what was going on with her.
Maya was never one to keep secrets, that was Rayna.
Another thing that caught Rayna's attention was how dark Maya's room was.
She always had her curtains opened to let the light in.
This wasn't like her.
She gently closed the door.
She was so nervous that she felt sick to her stomach.
She made her some toast, but it did little to ease the nauseous feeling.
She was surprised to see that no one cleaned up after last nights meal.
She had a little time, and decided to do her mother a favor, and clean them up herself.
It was quiet.
The only sounds that could were the birds singing, and the running water from the kitchen sink faucet.
A little while later, Maya walked into the kitchen, and was looking for some type of medication.
"What's wrong?"
Asked Rayna.
"Nothing."
Said Maya, as she went back upstairs into the bathroom.
"Probably to look for medicine in the medicine cabinet in there."
Rayna thought to herself as she continued with the dishes.
Some more time had passed, and now everyone was awake.
Maya was sitting on the kitchen table next to the window trying to finish her exam.
From the way she looked, she probably didn't get much sleep.
Rayna was now on her way to school.
There was a sense of sadness inside of her.
She would never admit it, but she was going to miss Mr. Antonov.
Even though she only saw him for a little while for only five days.
She began to feel as though someone was following her.
Her heart raced believing that it could possibly be the killer.
Whoever was behind her was getting closer.
Rayna's pace quickened, but so did the person's behind her.
Soon, she was running, and so was the person behind her.
Just then, the person behind her touched her on her shoulder.
She screamed, and dropped her books.
