Than any cowardly, callous flow
Cleansing a crown of its dignity

The hawk paddles mighty wings through air
Clipping and cruising 'bove waves of cloud
He doth need not the nod of a god
For granting swift passage ; wind endowed

Wooden you rob(e) life with blades of steel
Avenging your kith and kin enraged ?
Is it no crime to take what you gave ?
Slowly, lowly, the lion is caged

't is blood that flavours Glory's rivers
