Yet these waves crashing their drear tempest 'pon the land
Are overcoming darkly, dashed anxieties
Battering the bleakness to sediment and sand
Scattering the beacons of drowned priorities
I watch your figure dimly traced in mo(u)rning mist
Slide across the mossed footfalls where we roped and hoped
Chattering the weakness to sentiment ; trist tryst
Flattering chafed cheek gales as time and tide eloped
I sought solar solace when the mast descended
Rocked my blues in sopping gardens we see weeded
Mooted moats to melt my iced-eyes, past-defended
Re-ascended, sobbing hardens the unheeded
Fraught, I caught a last line from an equine barrage
Shocked the Fishers Glib with a terned tomorrow prayer
Routed floats weigh 'yond the jetty : was a mirage
We had blended of our stinging salt stream sea glare
Yet these waves are farewell gestures to the shore-bound
Treating Test'mony to the pleasure Death caressed
Set piece graves resonantly echo bone tone sound
Beating blest mem'ry is the treasure in the chest
