i have done all i can to forget you but the memory still creeps across my skin i have done all i can to hide from you but the light still burns my eyes i have done all i can to bury the past in a box carved out of feigned indifference but still you crawl into my grave and break the seal crawl into my grave and pick the lock crawl into my grave and turn the key

Thank you all very much. @ipfnh - most of my poetry is intended for performance, though my style has changed. When I first started writing seriously a couple of years ago, all my pieces were explicitly performative. These days I tend to write in a more hybrid, stream of consciousness way - the poems are more 'page' looking but mostly still have an implicit rhythmn which matches my style of delivery. All the pieces I've submitted so far (which cover a period of about eighteen months) have been performed at least once.
