Charlie Chaplin Feet

Charlie Chaplin Feet
I’ve got sticking out ears,
And a wobbly nose.
My eyes are squinty
And my teeth are loose.
I’ve got a bladder that leaks
And a bum that squeaks
My knees are bent.
My back is spent.
My joints are tired.
And my body is old.
And when I look down
Passed the sags and the folds
All I can see,
At angles so strange
Are my silly, stupid, falling down,
Tripping up, banging into things…
Charlie Chaplin feet.
But you know what I have,
that isn’t falling apart?
I have a big, warm, palpitating,
Loving heart.
That… and my Charlie Chaplin Feet.
