Marshmallow

Yesterday was most eventful. I discovered that maple syrup can serve similar functions to honey, and can in fact make a refreshing change. I also found out that placing floaty pieces of marshmallow in coffee adds a new level of meaning to my life that had previously been absent.
I was awoken early by a man delivering boxes stuffed with envelopes and after having to open my eyes in order to open the door, decided to enjoy the morning rather than shuffle back to bed. I began work early and was gifted with a nifty slice of time before the paint man appeared, and the onslaught of gloss scented fumes began.
By 2pm I was getting tired and waiting for him to leave so that I could find somewhere to sleep. By this point he had stopped making painting sounds and had commenced with some putting away sounds, but by 2:50pm all sounds had ceased sounding, and I started to wonder where he was and what he was up to.
It was a very humid day, and he was quite old. I was fearful that he had swooned someplace, and I was less eager to have to find him than with most other people because he had a moustache and I did not relish the notion of being in a situation where I might have to revive him.
Shortly after 3:20pm he reappeared and eventually set about arranging his exit. Instead of sleeping I made coffee and discovered the marshmallow joy I mentioned earlier. I then used my newfound solitude to catch up on some reading time. Overall I had a very restful and pleasant afternoon.
Later, when I drifted back into the kitchen, I found a message spelled out in fridge magnets. Now it’s morning again and I’m hiding in the potting shed, with a flask of coffee and a packet of marshmallows to sustain me until the paint man has left for the day. At some point I shall have to urinate, which will involve bit of stealth and cunning. I’m going to see how long I can wait.

Yep. Another bullseye.
