Haiku
Telescope observes
Binary stars pirouette
In eternal dance
---------------------------
Sonnet
Gas particles in fatal attraction
Gathering together, they coalesce
Critical mass, begins a reaction
Yielding of gravity’s gentle caress
Then bursting to life, this beacon stands proud
Darkness now vanquished, to borders beyond
Light radiates, as she shrugs off her shroud
Yet held captive within gravity’s bond
Unto death and beyond, he owns her soul
Her life determined by all gathered mass
To die within the dark, of a black hole
Or explode in glory, of burning gas
Fate is many millennia away
Till then she will shine, throughout each new day
---------------------------
Triolet
What secrets doth thou hide from thee
Below atmospheres misty veil
Emerald sky, and crimson sea
What secrets doth thou hide from thee
Yet to reveal, but one detail
Alien wonders of beauty
What secrets doth thou hide from thee
Below atmospheres misty veil
----------------------------
Nanni
Mystics gaze skyward
Feel the universal spirit
Poetry and beauty
Of the stars
-----------------------------
Brevette
Moons
O r b i t i n g

Limerick
I was once told a tale, by a preacher
Which I thought a peculiar feature
He let it be known
Mankind was alone
No biblical mention, of an alien creature
-------------------------------
Villanelle
On a clear, dark night, look to the sky
Marvel at the wonder, you may see there
Yet know each star, will burn out and die.
Gaze back through time, to days gone by
To millennia who knows, when or where
On a clear, dark night, look to the sky
Questions to be asked, such as how or why?
Are there for each man to share
Yet know each star, will burn out and die.
Answers that you seek, you cannot deny
What matters, is if you should care
On a clear, dark night, look to the sky
For your moment here, is but a sigh
To the universe, you cannot compare
Yet know each star, will burn out and die.
Your life shall pass, in the blink of an eye
So live it well, and do all you dare
On a clear, dark night, look to the sky
Yet know each star, will burn out and die.
--------------------------------
Quatrain
The mysterious thing, about the known universe
Is that it appears, to be quite diverse
Some people quite clever, say it expands forever
While others believe, it may soon reverse.
--------------------------------
Fabonacci
Sun
Moon
Planets
Galaxies
Billions of Stars
Other interstellar objects
With hidden dark matter, in the spaces between them
Yet we have only just begun to explore, the objects which make up our universe

Impressive! And any one could stand alone.
