Bernie Sanders 1

Bernie Sanders is not a person who "suffers" from bad faith like Hilary Clinton. Hilary Clinton wants to do certain things but does not the have the faith in herself to do those things. She also does not want to shake up the system.
Bernie Sanders does want to shake up the system. He defines himself as a democratic socialist. The last time I heard the term democratic socialist was when George Orwell defined himself as one.
First, if one looks into what Bernie is saying, one begins to see that he uses words liberally. Bernie likes to say that he is looking out for the "middle class," but it becomes clear over time that he means the "working class."
When Bernie speaks about Socialism, he means more government interference in terms of business and the welfare system. He means unions and he means tariffs. He means the $15 minimum wage. He also means a fair policing policy.
So, let's suppose that Bernie gets all he wants. He gets the $15 dollar wage and other benefits for workers and union protection for these jobs. Many small businesses will not be able to pay these wages to their employees. Many of them will be forced to pay the same wage to all of their employees and get rid of the manager altogether. Then the union will force the employers to pay wage increases to workers on a steady level without accounting for job performance and other factors.
The multi-billionaires and the ultra-rich will not be hurt in any way from this. In fact, as time has shown, it is mainly the middle-class that gets hurt from this.
Bernie gets tariffs. The United States is probably the only country in the world with very little tariffs on foreign exports. If the US starts to impose tariffs, the downside of it is that foreign corporations may not set up shop in the United States and create jobs for US employees. Also, it will drive prices up on many good and services. If Bernie adds the Union and the Tariff, prices could go up very dramatically. Some people cite prices on the internet to say that prices will stay the same, but the internet still only as 15% of the market. Brick and mortar stores still do make the majority of sales.
United States will look more like Europe now. And in a way, this may appear to make sense to high-tech corporations like Apple and others. After all, US now possesses high-end, quality products that the world desires. Now if Bernie also desires high-tech corporations to bring home all the money floating around in foreign bank accounts, he'll lose the support of the high-tech corporations. In fact, if you look at this carefully, it is sheer hypocrisy for high-tech corporation to not argue against the $15 dollar minimum wage and yet have Chinese workers work for $3 an hour while having their corporate earnings stashed away in foreign banks.
