the lighted peacefulness of the world.

how silent is the night, nought

full of stars, the moon glowing harvest,

shadows upon shadows stacked

like dark flowers willowing.

the zephyrs of the day move to wonder

into mazes of light,

let me walk with you with held hands

toward all eternity.

Forgive my small sins my Lord

and fill me with your breath,

blow me into the lap of heaven,

forgive my trespasses.

let me walk with you day and night

in full bloom.

let me be with you

with the children of day.
