Now, there is nothing wrong with putting things in their context. After all, we are not God. But Postmodernism seems to go far as to say that THERE IS NO HISTORICALLY UNIQUE ACT. Although you may say Uniqueness is a context, that's really dodging the issue.
So the Holocaust of the Jews can be lightly compared to other historical tragedies. The Crucifixion of Christ is not true for all time and space but only true in the historical context which reduces everything to newspaper reading of facts at a certain time in space.
Such stupidity can not be tolerated. So it does not matter that editors of Huck Finn have changed the word "niggar" to some innocuous word that is more relevant to the current context. Why don't we just brainwash people and destroy the past and whitewash the present.
Economically, the destruction of the Uniqueness, differentiated market of the United States would mean the death of the US Economy, but Postmodernist say nothing about the scourge of economic espionage and the stealing of industrial secrets by the Chinese or Others.
Postmodernists want to put a gender-neutral term for God into the Bible. Why don't we just burn books?
