Lord, please help our President

have  a Heart,

care about the troubles of people,

not just turn everything to extremes.

Help him to see that moderation can itself be a good thing.

Not everything needs to be extremely fixed,

not to scapegoat every time his solutions do not work,

not to make reality fit into his version of reality.

Open up his eyes Lord

to see how people suffer...

they seek a leader, not the Arm and Hammer.

Let him not pity himself for being the alpha white male

attacked on all sides.

Show him the way to personal salvation.

Let his heart not grow so hard as to allow

nothing to grow.

Lord, do not let the world turn into a world of stupidity

in which there is only opinion and no truth.

Right now, he is only a follower of trends, only good at 

showing a strong face, rehashing old ideas, putting everyone else down.

Having started as a nihilist, he has become an accidental totalitarian

as Vanity Fair has called him.

Lord, show him the door

to his personal self.
