East Asian Anti-Semitism 2

BUDDHISM: The first religion I think about when I think about East Asian Anti-Semitism is Buddhism. Now, Buddhism essentially has no God although some people have made Buddha into a God. Many Jews have taken up Buddhism because of meditative and pure aspects. Buddhism essentially seeks to get rid of the "Ego." If the Ego is gone, then there is no one who desires and fears, therefore, you reach Nirvana (Ego is blown out like a candle). Many Asian Buddhists see Jews as very Ego driven, very deluded people who do not see the true light of reality. But is it really true that when the "Ego" is blown out, you reach Nirvana. NO. You become the Self, the totality of the incarnations throughout time. True Nirvana is unity with Being and God says "I am that I am." Joseph Campbell said that Christ is a bodhissattva but the Buddha is not God... The Buddha has unity with impersonal aspects of God. Buddhism also may have contributed to the rise of Fascist Japan... no fear, no desire, Buddhists would make great warriors and soldiers, mix that with nationalism although there was some Shintoism involved. Also remember that the swastika symbol is also used in Buddhism. It is hard to determine the meaning of these symbols because they mean one thing for the believer and another thing for the non-believer. IN Nazi Germany, it seems to have represented the destruction of all individuality and the development or enhancement of the ideal Aryan type. Zen Buddhists also have to tendency to appropriate everything into their religion. So they take a verse of the BIble and make it a koan. I've also noticed that Buddhism has almost no morals. The Nazi destruction of Jews and Europe... that's just the way things are, reality is both good and bad. Prostitution, drugs, etc. I don't hear a things about these issues from Buddhists. As for Buddhism outside of East Asia, Tantric Buddhism is reaching Nirvana by going beyond your desires... but Nirvana itself, this sense that the very source of life... its impersonal aspect is one with you and you and the stillpoint of life are one, this still is essentially a PLEASURE. But it does give you a sense of the groundwork of the Universe.
