Escaping From China

I escaped from China

like I escaped from new York...

 

Crazy country of the Golden Age

made me wash toilets

and soldiers screwed me up the asshole of the lightbulb

for being a bad comrade.

 

I went home to my wife and tried to explain...

she listened for a while then fell asleep.

Next day, I was fixing this rapist's penis

for damages.

 

 We came to America to have a new life,

I worked at a prominent hospital,

but I could not stand the workingclass racism of America

plumbers thinking I owed them money

for allowing us to come to America

just stupid people

spilling out their guts all the time.

 

Now, most Americans live on debt...

credit cards, etc...

and the debt is financed by China, India

and other countries...

but they hate us Chinese-Americans

who who hated China and moved out of there

because of discrimation

and they blame us.

 

So I do my own plumbing

lighting

hospital work

and have a pretty good quality of life.

It's a problem that affects immigrants the world over Steve.  I recommend that you read Daljit Nagra's collection of poetry 'Look We Have Coming To Dover'.

Well, most immigrants come to America because they don't like their home country. Then they find that the Americans don't like them and think of them in terms of their home country, especially in Massachusettes.

I mean, I see workingclass people have a very entitled attitude toward immigrants. I'm not saying that workingclass people are more racists than many middle-class or upperclass people, I'm just saying that it's a very crude and entitled attitude. We could really help each other out instead of fighting with each other.
