sometimes I am afraid
so terribly afraid of what you might do

so angry with the world,
so deaf to messages of love,
you are crippled,
misunderstood,
a fool,
an actor,
an idiot...
what message have you
but the message of personal truth.

I have tried to ignore you
over and over again.
Your voice has softened,
you are trying to understand me,
trying to understand how i deal
with things,
i'm trying to understand
why you are so
honest,
so hateful,
demanding the truth.
