-We lost
-You have to lose first to win later.
-Why must we lose?
-Because Titus will over estimate his own skills.
-You think he will make a mistake then.
-Yes, he'll be willing to bet all he owns on a game of cards.
-How do you know when that'll be?
-I can see it in his eyes.
-You sure see through people. I wish I could do that. Did you see how his cards lined up like the planets?
-Mercury, Venus, Earth, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. It's very hard to get a set of cards like that. Also, he had the Sun and the Moon on the other hand. He was cheating!
-We should have him thrown in jail!
-You are so naive. He's a Roman aristocrat. We can't do that.
-So we're just going to let him get away with this? In my father's house, such acts would not be tolerated!
-It's just better to let him win until his sense of pride does him in.
-You're right. You're right. I'm beginning to see the light. Oh, what will I do once I gain great wealth. I will go back to my father's house and have him bow down to me. I will excuse him for not seeing the great talents and abilities I possess. My brother! I will have hom thrown in jail!
-Perhaps...
-You would really want to marry me? I don't know. You seem like a woman who's been around.
-The world made me this way. How was I to survive?
-You face looks like a face that's been looked at too much.
-Is it a sin to be beautiful?
-No. I'll think about it.
-Don't you ever stop thinking?
-I just can't stop thinking about my brother. I hate him so much. If he had not existed, I would have been Lord over my father's estate. I could have done so much better than he. NOw, I am an outcast.
-Did they throw you out?
-No, I just couldn't stand living there anymore. There was so much happiness and kindness. I could not stand the warmth. I could not stand anything.
-You desired freedom.
-Is that what you call this? It's different than what I imagined it to be.
