Sometimes we want the world

so bad, it's an ache
that longs to be held.
we want to make the world a home,
we want to prove
that we struggled with the world
as Jacob struggled with God
and we won,
it's so inevitable
the sheer feeling of victory.
we want the world
because
our tears stopper
when
we have finally done it,
we have succeeded
we have cemented out signature
upon the world
and seen our belonging
held true.
but don't
but don't, there's nothing to prove
nothing to be
but our spiritual predestined selves
which is ruined
buried
by the sheer blindness
of this world.
