What has become of us?

What has become of us?
So much have we experienced...
so much have we thought...
so much have we known and we are now
indifferent, stone people looking at a world
which is unfair for everyone.
as bob Dylan said, something went terribly wrong with the sixties.
the movement for fairness and decency
turned into a movement of pleasure. After pleasure, there is again
numbness and carelessness.
numbness and careless then drugs
drugs to bring you up and bring you down,
how does anyone find new life without absorbing emotion.
when we were young,
we fell in love then were betrayed, we learned to see women as objects
trophies
glamorized goals
to express our disappointments,
we learned to engage in lust
to unleash our primitive selves to win against enemies.
everything turned to stone...
i felt no more.
what has happened to the world,
the police didn't care about the Jews and blacks, now
they don't care about whites either...
nothing matters
and people are so silent...

Such a desolate, mornful
Such a desolate, mournful piece, I really like it.
