Where is my spirit and soul

where is my spirit, my soul,
my body has lost its voice
into the wilderness
wilderness
i go, wandering
where is my soul?
it has disappeared as of late,
no stirring do i feel, no lapping
of love's labouring hands
but like a dead body
waiting for relief,
nothing ignites the slightest flame of light,
nothing turns my suffering into psyche.
for days i feel as sterile as the body
asking for redemption, but finding none,
not knowing the sounds and the silences
of God who revives me
with continents of new visions.
where is my soul, Lord
please give me the breath of life,
of morality in tune with the music of the universe,
of knowledge turned to body
and sex a burning towards.
how long of late i cry out for you Lord,
do not desert me and make me as stone
waiting out the days of my sorry life, turn
turn my soul to bleed out the alphabet of rebirth,
love shingled, breath rewritten.
